Web development is an umbrella term that includes all stages of a website development. This can include e-commerce business development, web design, web content development, content management system development, and web server configuration. However, most web professionals usually refer "web development" only to the non-design aspects of website creation. Web development ranges from the simplest static single page websites to the most complex web-based internet applications, electronic businesses, or social network services.
